Your Pakon scanner on a modern PC
The F-135+ was made for Windows XP, and its software never left it. Most labs keep an old PC or a virtual machine running just to scan.
PakonX starts over. How the scanner talks over USB was worked out from scratch, so a current 64-bit PC can wake it, load its firmware and scan, through Microsoft's own WinUSB driver instead of the old XP one. The Pakon colour stays: PakonX still runs Kodak/Pakon's original image processing for its look.

The key arrives by email and on the page after payment. Paste it into PakonX, Settings, License.

From the sticker to the client's folder
- New order. Type the roll number from the sticker. PakonX makes the order folder.
- Scan. PakonX checks the scanner, then runs the film through. Stop ends the pass cleanly.
- Light table. Check every frame; set the look, framing and rotation where a picture needs it.
- Save roll. JPEG or TIFF, named by roll and film frame, ready to hand over.

Does it work with an F-235 or F-335?
Not tested. PakonX is built and tested on the F-135+. Try the trial before you buy.
Do I need the original Pakon software or a Windows XP machine?
No. PakonX installs everything it needs, including the scanner driver. The Pakon firmware and image processing it uses are included with the permission of their owner.
Does PakonX send my pictures anywhere?
No. It contacts this site only to start the trial and to activate and check the licence: the key, a hash identifying the PC, and its name.
Mac or Linux?
No. PakonX runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11.
My PC died. How do I move the licence?
Write to amstrd_cpc@gmail.com with your key; the old PC is freed for you.
